Spend an art-filled September evening in downtown Geneva from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. The event includes seven downtown Geneva galleries who are hosting special events, artists show openings, or live performances in an energetic sampling of local, regional and national talent.

Undeterred by their loss in a magazine's comic-strip contest, they'd set up their Web site for their strip, which survived on PayPal donations from readers.
