"The Obama family will keep their home in Chicago's Hyde Park when they move to Washington in January," the Washington Times reports.
"A news camera caught Barack Obama saying in Manny's Deli on Friday afternoon the real estate market makes it a bad idea to sell the $1.6 million home where he lives with his wife Michelle and daughters Sasha and Malia."
Said Obama: "We're keeping our house... We're staying in there for awhile. Now's not the time to sell."

Coleman's Lead Continues to Shrink in Recount more»»
In Minnesota's U.S. Senate race recount, Sen. Norm Coleman (R-MN) "was hanging on to his
whisker-thin lead" over Al Franken (D), the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
"With 64% of the 2.9
million ballots recounted, Coleman was ahead by 120 votes, down from
136 at the end of Thursday and from the unofficial lead of 215 signed
off on Tuesday by the state Canvassing Board."

Sen. Hillary Clinton "has decided to give up her Senate seat and accept the position of
secretary of state, making her the public face around the world for the
administration of the man who beat her for the Democratic presidential
nomination," the New York Times reports.
Clinton "came to her decision after additional discussion with President-elect Obama about the nature of her role and his plans for foreign policy."

New York Fed President Timothy Geithner will be nominated to be President-elect Obama's Treasury secretary, according to the Wall Street Journal.
"The FBI began calling Geithner confidantes this week, starting a vetting process of getting the Fed veteran in place almost as soon as Obama is inaugurated."
"Obama plans to introduce his entire economic team early next week, hoping to sooth the roiling financial markets and answer rising pressure on the president-elect to become more involved."
