The Taj Mahal hotel in Mumbai, India, temporarily increased security after being warned of a possible terrorist attack, the chairman of the company that owns the hotel said today. The Taj was one of nine sites attacked by gunmen in a 60-hour wave of terror that killed at least 183 people and injured hundreds more.

Inside the blacked out Taj Mahal Hotel, hallways were littered with bloodied bodies. Gunmen had control, and were holding 200 people hostage. Every time the commandos got close, terrorists hurled grenades and sprayed bullets, forcing them back. Then finally, the special forces made it to the final firefight.

The last terrorists involved in the attacks at Mumbai's Taj Mahal hotel were killed early Saturday, Mumbai's police chief told CNN-IBN. But the director-general of the national security guard said more terrorists could still be the hotel. The conflicting accounts came after a fire broke out and a flurry of heavy gunfire.
